At design stage, Turentek were asked to propose a durable specification which was compatible with all substrates, Timber Doors, Aluminium patent glazing systems, glass and steel security doors.
Turentek’s close liason with all the relevant sub contractors provided the Architects with an imaginative all inclusive hardware package, allowing for quirky design, using elliptical levers in the public galleries, and a durable round bar series for the plant areas.
The Met Office was awarded “Building of the Year” status.
